Our camp emphasizes a different skill each day with various drills as well as fun games to put those skills into practice.
We work hard to teach values and sportsmanship as we develop the kids to use teamwork. The camp will be well-balanced
for every age, with fun introductory sessions for the youngest players to more intensive and systematic sessions for
advanced players. All the players are grouped by age and ability to provide the best atmosphere for teamwork, fun, and
still be a challenge to promote healthy skill development. The schedule focuses on a different skill each day and how that
skill ties in with their everyday life.
- Passing: technique, precision, pace, and using both feet
- Dribbling: control, footwork, one-on-one skills, and field vision
- Crossing/Trapping: proper sending and receiving, close and in control
- Defense: Positioning, Steering, and proper distance
- Shooting: proper technique, placement, power, and accuracy
If you any more questions concerning the Curriculum, please feel free to ask.

Camp participants will be dropped off and picked up at the sign in/out tent, which will be set up on the Monroe School Field along Garfield Avenue.
Parents/guardians will need to sign their children in and out of camp each day. If someone other than the parent/guardian is picking up a child we need to know ahead of time, they will be required to present a photo I.D. at the time of pick up. After children are signed in they will immediately join their “group leader” with whom they will remain throughout the course of the day until they are signed back out again.

We generally will play through light rain if the children are comfortable doing so, and ask participants to bring proper clothing and gear. If the rain is heavy or long-lasting or lightening in the area, St. Paul’s Church is right next door...after the weather subsides, the participants will go back onto the fields and continue the camp as scheduled. If weather forecast makes it impossible to even begin camp, we will have announcements posted on our web site.
Skilled Coaching Staff - With Athletic Trainer on hand
A large number of our volunteers have assisted with soccer camps across the country. Our staff is made up of mostly high school students, but also pastors, teachers, and former collegiate players. Our staff has coached various levels of soccer. They all hope to create an enjoyable environment for your children so that they can learn the game of Soccer and about their Savior.
Our Theme – A Tour of Cities
This year our camp will focus on different cities and our own city. We are calling our camp the 507 soccer camp because we saw a need in the community and wanted to provide a high quality camp where kids could come and learn about Soccer and about themselves. The “Tour of Cities” focuses on 5 different cities from Ancient Biblical times and provides a brief education on what these places were like and what happened in them because the cities selected play a huge role in our lives even today. The children will be divided up and make teams based on these different cities. Each City’s team jersey will be unique and something the children will take great pride in. There will be opportunity to get all the team jerseys in the future if so desired. Every day the children will learn a skill and how it connects to the city that day and how it connects to their lives today. We wish for the 507 community to come together and stay together going forward with the relationships and values that are forged through this new experience.
